Scholarship Opportunity from Foldcraft Charitable & Community Relations Committee
Posted on April 13, 2017
Giving is at the root of our business. Our employee-owned business was established from the philanthropic roots of our founder, Harold Nielsen, who gave his business to the employees and his life to giving. Giving back to the community is a part of our culture at Foldcraft Co.
The Foldcraft Charitable and Community Relations Committee is proud to announce it will be providing opportunities for qualified individuals to receive a $500 scholarship to support plans to continue their education beyond high school. The scholarships are not awarded based on financial need or scholastic achievement; rather, they provide the opportunity for education financial assistance to any graduating high school student who shows leadership and community involvement in their community outside of scholastic activities.
Foldcraft will award two (2) individual $500 scholarships – one is reserved for a Kenyon-Wanamingo graduating senior who plans to attend an accredited institution this fall. The other $500 scholarship is for the child, grandchild, or dependent child of a Foldcraft employee-owner who is a graduating senior and plans to attend an accredited institution this fall. If there are no applicants in a category, two scholarships will be given in the category that received applications.
Selection of the recipients will be conducted in an anonymous review of the essay by the Foldcraft Charitable and Community Relations Committee. All decisions are final. Scholarship recipients will be announced at the student’s high school awards ceremony. A $500 scholarship check will be issued to Foldcraft directly payable to the financial institution of the student according the institution’s policies.
